Internet business means round-the-clock service. For some business models, emergency service and night-time availability are more important than for others, such as online games providers, video streaming services or industrial plants. Problems here need to be resolved immediately, otherwise it becomes expensive. For IT staff, however, night shifts mean a gruelling additional workload.
