Security and flexibility in one

An adaptable, scalable private cloud that can be expanded at any time: The OpenStack technology used minimises the risk of provider dependencies. The hybrid cloud is delivered as a plug & play solution and only requires a power and network connection. In addition, the resources of the private cloud can be easily integrated with the public cloud computing offering, as the software and hardware technologies are identical.

Your advantages of a hybrid cloud

  • OPEX instead of CAPEX: Private cloud solution based on OpenStack that can flexibly scale resources and components while keeping costs calculable.
  • Seamless integration : The managed private cloud services can be seamlessly combined with the public cloud.
  • Minimise risks: Thanks to the open source solution OpenStack, there is a low risk of vendor lock-in.
  • Flexibility : Deployment can either take place as a managed service in your own data centre or alternatively in the SpaceNet data centre.
  • Modularity: Available in four basic configurations and individually expandable with RAM, block and object storage as well as all components and services of the public cloud.

How you benefit from the hybrid cloud

  • Fast commissioning: All you need to do is provide network and power connections.
  • Professional automated tests for security and network.
  • Management and maintenance, including software updates, are carried out by SpaceNet experts as part of the managed services.
  • Einheitliches Management-Tool.
  • Workloads can be easily moved between private and public cloud instances.
  • Technological basis to fulfil compliance requirements as well as regulatory, data protection and legal regulations.
  • Ability to respond to market changes in the shortest possible time.
  • Cloud-based automation enables the orchestration of processes.
  • Round-the-clock support from really good cloud experts.

Possible areas of application for hybrid cloud

The hybrid cloud is suitable for processing data in real time. The decentralised computing and storage capacities are located close to the source of the data. They enable immediate provision of the processed data in real time and parallel storage of the data in the SpaceNet Cloud.

Poor network connection at the company location? No problem. The servers can be conveniently implemented directly at your premises. An Internet connection is therefore not absolutely necessary.

If high-performance computing capacities are required quickly, these can be quickly and efficiently switched on from the public cloud to balance out peaks in demand.

The hybrid solution offers the best of both worlds of the private and public cloud. As in the public cloud, data can be stored long-term and encrypted. However, if you prefer not to store your data in the public cloud, a redundant solution in two separate private clouds is also possible.

The hybrid cloud enables the in-house IT department to establish its own service portfolio. Aspects of security, scalability and governance can be fulfilled by sourcing applications and data from the in-house cloud instead of a third-party cloud.
