Cloud storage ensures that data is always easily accessible for certain groups of people and can be easily shared and sent between them. With many cloud providers, storage space is limited or they send the data to servers in the USA, which can cause problems with data protection. Nextcloud was developed to store data encrypted in a cloud or on your own servers and therefore retain data sovereignty at all times.
