As the new Chairman, Dr Thiäner brings many years of experience in corporate governance, compliance, data protection and international commercial law to the company. As a lawyer at an international commercial law firm, he has been working for many years on topics such as reducing dependencies in digital infrastructures, protecting sensitive data and strengthening digital sovereignty.
"The requirements for compliance, data protection and secure IT infrastructures are increasing worldwide. Data protection and high security standards are becoming increasingly important for companies and institutions, and solutions such as those from SpaceNet are of central importance," emphasises Thiäner. "As Chairman of the Supervisory Board, I look forward to supporting the Management Board in the further strategic growth of the company and the responsible further development of its products."
Sebastian Wittkopp joins the Supervisory Board
With Sebastian Wittkopp, SpaceNet AG has gained a proven financial expert. Wittkopp has more than 15 years of international banking experience in London, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart. As Head of Corporate Syndicate, he has headed LBBW's syndication activities since 2020 and is responsible for products such as syndicated loans, acquisition financing, leveraged finance, promissory note loans and corporate bonds.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Wittkopp said: "I am delighted to have been appointed to the Supervisory Board of SpaceNet AG and would like to thank the shareholders for the trust they have placed in me. Together with the Board, I look forward to being able to responsibly support the strategic development of the company."
In particular, he would like to support SpaceNet AG's growth strategy and further strengthen the financial levers. "SpaceNet has an excellent basis to continue growing profitably and to position itself clearly in a dynamic market environment," says Wittkopp.
